Alexandra & Chris – February 2021

A Cotton Gin No. 116 Couples Highlight

The effects of COVID and the Texas freeze didn’t keep this couple from celebrating their commitment, their way! With an outdoor reception complete with an outdoor dance floor and fun had by all!

Alex and Chris met at a mutual friend’s house and their relationship bloomed. Their friends stood by them as they committed to each other in February 2021.  Chris proposed on July 3, 2020 in front of the water wall at the Galleria sharing a poem he had written specifically for Alexandra.

Pretty soon after their engagement Alex and Chris visited us at Cotton Gin 116, attracted by the rustic elements of our building.  Desiring a wedding that combined their vision of timeless, simplicity and elegancy, they were pleased to find that the Cotton Gin embodied all of these things providing a rustic, but elegant backdrop to their perfect day.  They were one of the first couple to book with us shortly after the COVID restrictions were eased.

Their outdoor reception occurred shortly after the now famous Texas freeze. It is one that we will be remembering for sure!  An outdoor dancefloor under the string lights of our courtyard provided the perfect setting for an outdoor celebration. Their wedding will be remembered by their guests, and our staff, for years to come.

Thank you Alexandra & Chris for choosing Cotton Gin 116 for your day!  Blessings for a long and happy marriage!
